Reserve Base
Vein's main pit has been in continuous operation since 1991. The proven reserve base supports binding offtake agreements extending to 2059 — the planning horizon municipal utilities and sovereign stockpile managers require before committing capital. Annual production has grown 18% over the last five years through fleet expansion and concentrator upgrades.
LME-registered warehouse capacity: 48,000 tonnes. Port stockpile: 72,000 tonnes. Combined buffer covers 8 months of contracted volume.
Vein's hydropower supply agreement with the regional grid operator covers 88% of site electricity demand, driving our Scope 2 footprint to near zero. The remaining 12% is met by on-site solar. Our closed-loop water circuit — the highest reclamation rate in our peer group — eliminates freshwater draw from the Río Seco watershed entirely.
Third-party GHG verification: ISO 14064-1:2018. Water stewardship certification: AWS Core Level. Tailings facility: MAC Level 3 design standard.

Social Investment
Procurement officers at multilateral institutions and sovereign funds increasingly require evidence that supply chains meet IFC Performance Standard 5 on land acquisition and involuntary resettlement. Vein has operated without a single FPIC objection in 14 consecutive years. Our community investment fund — administered by an independent board with majority indigenous membership — has financed 34 infrastructure projects since 2019.
ESG ratings: MSCI AA. Sustainalytics Risk Score: 14.2 (Low). IFC Performance Standards compliance: independently audited annually.
Vein's dedicated berth at Puerto Punta Arenas handles full Panamax vessels, enabling direct loading to utility and EPC buyers across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the US Gulf Coast without intermediate handling. Average vessel turnaround: 18 hours. The port operates 340 days per year under our exclusive-use agreement, with a 72-hour weather contingency window built into all annual delivery schedules.
Incoterms offered: FOB Puerto Punta Arenas / CIF Rotterdam / CIF Tianjin. Insurance: Lloyds marine cargo, open cover. Customs classification: HS 7403.11.
